Training of Service Providers (M&E), Extension Agents and their Supervisors in Calabar by MARKETS II USAID
In order to ensure that the data needs of the project are met and also to ensure high quality for all the value chain activities for 2017 project, the MARKETS II organised a 2-day training session for service providers’ (SPs) M&E staff, extension agents (EAs) and their supervisors currently working on the project in Delta Niger region





The main objective of the training is to build the capacity of service provider and Extension agents on MARKETS II package of practice, training the newly engaged service providers and Extension agents on how to networked farmers, train and track trained farmers on TOT and step down and tracking jobs along the value chain(s).
Other aspect of training include:
- Importance of network farmers list
- DPs responsibilities
- MARKETS II project income survey questionnaires
- Basic guide on how to use the GPS
The EAs and M&E were cheerful about the training saying the training came to them at the right time as it has exposed them to a lot of things they didn’t know before now.
